15 consortia submitted bids for Makkah Metro project

Saad Al-Qadi, CEO of Saudi Arabia’s Makkah Trains Co has said that one-trip ticket on the Makkah metro would cost SR4 when the metro starts operating in the third quarter of 2019, Arab News has reported. The firm received bids from 15 consortia to build the metro at an estimated cost of SR25.5bn. An assigned committee will announce the winning bids during the first quarter of this year, said Al-Qadi.
