AGMC puts its foot on the gas pedal following record 2013 growth

AGMC the official BMW Group importer for Dubai, Sharjah and the Northern Emirates is accelerating into 2014 after achieving a record year in terms of sales for BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce during 2013. Throughout the year, the company, for the first time ever, sold over 5,000 vehicles with all three brands witnessing double-digit sales growth. As a result of AGMC’s continued growth the importer now ranks in the top five worldwide for Rolls-Royce sales.

When it comes to best-selling models, the BMW 5 and 3 Series were strong drivers of the company’s sales growth with sales increasing 25% and 52% respectively. In addition, BMW’s flagship 7 Series also continued to be a best-seller contributing to the Middle East’s overall status as the third biggest market worldwide for BMW 7 Series sales. AGMC was also the biggest market in the Middle East for MINI sales selling 527 vehicles, an 11% increase over 2012 sales. BMW Premium Selection, the pre-used vehicle division also celebrated success with a 35% increase in sales.

Commenting on the company’s continuing growth, Osman Abdelmoneim, General Manager of AGMC said: “The AGMC story is truly a remarkable one. Putting customers first, AGMC started 2014 with the opening of the world’s most advanced Rolls-Royce Aftersales centre. The dedicated 5,000 sq ft facility is the result of more than $5 million investment by AGMC.

AGMC will continue to invest in improving its facilities that will include: a multi-story car park and dedicated MINI and BMW 7 Series workshops at the company’s Sheikh Zayed showroom. AGMC will further invest in professionally trained staff, the latest equipment, improved processes and systems, and quicker service turnaround times. Their recently launched campaign themed ‘Full Speed Ahead’ reflects the pace which AGMC is working across all areas of their business to ensure that they not only launch leading new vehicles in their respective categories, but improve customer service offerings on all levels. Covering four main service pillars: car service convenience, on-road safety, customer care service and mobility solutions, the campaign is set to take AGMC’s services to even greater heights.

In the last three years alone AGMC has invested more than AED150 million in upgrading facilities which included an expansion of the company’s Sheikh Zayed showroom and after-sales facility as well as the new MINI showroom in Dubai Media City in 2011. 2012 saw the importer launch a Fujairah showroom and aftersales facility as well as a new Fast Lane Service Centre in Deira.

During 2013, AGMC launched a number of new services aimed at enhancing their aftersales service which featured a 24 hour BMW Mobile Service as well as the Fast Lane servicing at all of their showrooms. Adding to this, the importer also launched an exclusive customer car drop off servicing facility at the Dubai International Airport and provided a fleet of BMW 7 Series vehicles for the Al Majlis VIP passenger service at Terminal 3.

Abdelmoneim added: “AGMC has the privilege of selling three of the world’s best automotive brands: BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce. Customers here in the UAE have a strong desire to purchase premium brands that are amongst the best in the world therefore we are committed to doing our best to meet this demand. Throughout 2014 we endeavor to better our record performance in all areas of our business.”

This month AGMC has introduced the all-new BMW 2 Series Coupé and the BMW 4 Series Convertible to their showrooms. Next month customers will have the opportunity to purchase the BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe and the all new MINI Hatch. And in June, the eagerly awaited BMW i8 – the 2+2 seater sports car is set to revolutionise the automotive industry. The all-new BMW X4 which had its Middle East debut at the Dubai Motor Show will also be launched.

The second half of the year, AGMC will also introduce the all-new M3 sedan and M4 Coupé to its customers.
