Grand car unveil at Dubai International Motor Show
Supercars and some of the world’s fastest and most expensive motors will be on display at the Boulevard of Dreams at this year’s Dubai International Motor Show, taking place from November 14 to 18.
The statement released by the Dubai International Motor Show expects the Boulevard of Dreams to draw huge crowds, from serious car buyers to aspiring owners, petrol-heads and car-mad kids.
“The Boulevard of Dreams allows brands to engage more easily with both loyal clients and potential new customers; it also represents a great opportunity for young car enthusiasts who usually only witness these magnificent supercars driving past them at speed.”
The statement also revealed that the Vulcano Titanium, will be unveiled for the first time at the show.
According to the statement, it is a sports car inspired by and made with the same materials as the world’s fastest aeroplane – the Blackbird SR-71.
The new super sports car is valued at $2.9 million.
Teresio G. Gaudio, Chairman and CEO of ICONA, said: “Vulcano Titanium supercar is the first car in the world handmade in titanium with more than 10,000 hours of manual hammer forming. We think that the style of this unique masterpiece will capture the discerning taste of a selected public.”
McLaren, best known for creating cars such as the McLaren F1 and Mercedes SLR, will take big part of the event.
Andreas Bareis, Managing Director Middle East, Africa & Latin America for McLaren Automotive, promised there will be plenty of activities to entertain visitors to McLaren’s standing during the five-day automotive event.
“New at Dubai International Motor Show this year will be our 570S Spider, which has all the performance of the Coupé plus the extra exhilaration of open-air driving. We also have another two surprises, but more will be revealed at the show,” said Bareis.
Big boy toys are here
McLaren will be joined at the Dubai event by other legendary manufacturers such as Ferrari and Maserati.
According to the statement, other exhibitors in the sector eager to show that the Middle East is on track to producing its own eye-catching supercars include Rimac, which will be showcasing its Rimac Concept One – an electric supercar – Prato and Shaali Motorsport, which will bring its UAE-made Shaali N360.
Khalid Alzarooni, Founder Gotham Motors, Middle East Distributor for Rimac Automobili, said: The Rimac Concept One is a piece of technological art and with only a handful of these cars on the planet, the motor show gives car lovers a unique opportunity to experience the product first hand, see how far electric motoring technology has advanced, and to pre-order a car.”
With the launching of new sports car at the Dubai Motor Show, some people may get the chance to discover a new car to dream about while other people may stay loyal to their old sports car preference.
Affordable luxury cars?
AMEinfo has picked 3 cars with prices that easily surpass $100,000 to give a brief about.
It’s true that none of these vehicles may be within the reach of car lovers around the world. But we can dream. Can’t we?
2017 Porsche Panamera 4S and turbo: The Panamera Turbo’s 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 develops 550 horsepower at 5,750 rpm and a maximum torque of 567 lb-ft between 1,960 and 4,500 rpm. It has 30 horsepower more than the previous model, and its maximum torque has been increased by 51 lb-ft. The new 2017 Porsche Panamera combines two contrasting characteristics: the performance of a sports car and comfort of a luxury sedan.
Aston Martin Vanquish: it is highly expensive, with a base price of around $295,000 with shipping. It’s not as fast as some rivals, as it touts “only” 570 hp, compared to, say, 731 horses in the Ferrari F12. But the Vanquish boasts one of the most beautiful designs of any modern car on the market today.
Lamborghini Aventador: The Aventador is the maximum Lamborghini – a V-12-powered, all-wheel-drive coupe or roadster that picks up where the Countach, Diablo, and Murcielago left off. It has the price tag to match, with the lineup ranging from a base model with a $400,000 starting price to the new LP7 50-4 SV, which is more like $500,000 before options. If that sounds like a lot, just remember, few other cars combine 700-plus hp and styling that looks like a Hot Wheels toy come to life.
