Dafza posts 42% increase in 2013 revenue

Dubai Airport Freezone Authority (Dafza) has reported a 42% year-on-year growth in 2013 revenue, and said it licensed 196 new tenants and contributed 8% to the emirate’s trade, Gulf Today has reported. Dafza currently houses a wide range of industries operating out of the freezone some of which are electronics and electrical, engineering and building materials, aerospace & aviation, logistics and freight, food & beverages, pharmaceutical. In the freezone, 39% of companies are from Europe and North America, 38% are from the GCC & Middle East, 17% from Asia, 3% from Offshore Islands, 2% from Africa and 1% from Australia.
