Recording outstanding sales and customer satisfaction results for 2013, Emirates Motor Company (EMC), Mercedes-Benz authorised distributors in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, announces an overall sales increase of 11% compared to 2012 and Number One Status in customer satisfaction scores in the GCC region for the third consecutive year.

“2013 will go down in the history of EMC as a year of overachieving many challenging milestones, such as winning the Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Award (SKEA) Gold Category, reaching new sales records in passenger cars and commercial vehicles, as well as opening the new Express Service Centre at our showroom on Airport Road,” commented Mr. Kamal Rafih, General Manager of EMC.

Maintaining its status as the highest volume of sales across the Mercedes-Benz range in EMC was the incredibly popular Mercedes-Benz 2014 E-Class, while the luxurious, newly launched S-Class 2014 witnessed a 15% jump in the same period. Moreover, examining the sporty segment, the Gull-wing SLS soared to double-digit figure sales recording a 160% increase compared to the year before.

“In particular, the SUV range of Mercedes-Benz has been gaining more admiration in the capital year-on-year,” he added. In terms of highest increase from 2012 to 2013, the Mercedes-Benz GLK topped the list with a remarkable 373% rise. Following suit, the rest of the sports utility vehicle (SUV) range observed an increase in sales performance with the GL-Class reaching 114%, the M-Class at 25% and the G-Class at 9%.

On another note, Mr. Rafih emphasized, “Our presence and endorsements of community activities related to our line of business is key in nurturing a personal connection with our customers.” Just recently EMC hosted a Drag Race for the Group 63 Club giving them an opportunity to race against each other in a well-managed and safe environment. “Moreover, we are regular official car sponsors for the famous Abu Dhabi Film Festival (ADFF) and Abu Dhabi Media Summit as we aim to encourage talents from the fine arts industry to bloom.”

EMC’s care for public safety on the road is one of the Mercedes-Benz distributor’s chief concerns. As a socially responsible organization, EMC constantly seeks different ways to tie-up with various governmental organizations such as the Abu Dhabi Traffic Department to generate more awareness on this serious subject.

Having said that, Mr. Rafih concluded, “These positive trends in the market demonstrate customers’ satisfaction with EMC’s commitment to service excellence and our keenness to continue improving at all levels of the business. Our customers have unique demands and it is our duty to ensure their requirements are met with innovative solutions to exceed their expectations for a strong and enduring relationship. All these accomplishments have provided us with a robust foundation for a promising and prosperous year ahead in 2014.”
