Mohamed Yousuf Naghi Motors continues strong sales performance with 13% increase for BMW and MINI in first half of 2014
Mohamed Yousuf Nagi Motors has reported a sales increase of 13% for the first half of 2014, signalling a great result for the BMW Group importer in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Commenting on the outstanding sales performance, Stavros Paraskevaides, Managing Director of Mohamed Yousuf Naghi Motors (BMW Group), said: “We are extremely proud of the impressive sales results achieved for the first six months of 2014 which is testament to the ongoing desire the Saudi Arabia people have for the BMW Group brands.”
Saudi Arabia is the second biggest market in the Middle East with regards to BMW Group sales volume, after the UAE. Driving the strong results were a number of new vehicle launches that contributed to the double digit growth and included; the BMW 4 Series Gran Coupé, M235i as well as the all-new MINI Hatch.

The BMW 7 Series was the best-selling BMW model in Saudi Arabia witnessing a 6% growth during the first half of the year. The growth reaffirmed Saudi’s position as the biggest Middle East market for BMW 7 Series sales accounting for almost half of the total Middle East 7 Series sales.
Building on its position as the global leader in the executive car segment, the BMW 5 Series was also one of the top best-sellers achieving an increase in sales of 28.7%. The latest version of the BMW 5 Series was launched in September of 2013 and the growth of the model is testament to the performance, innovation and premium motoring experience it delivers to the executive saloon segment.
Rounding off the growth for BMW in Saudi was the BMW X5 – the leader Sports Activity Segment. The BMW X5 accounted for a growth of 125%. The newest generation of the BMW X5 launched late year helped contribute to the growth of this model as well as the growth of the X model portfolio.
During the first half of the year, MINI also continued to prove popular in the Saudi market accounting for a growth of 27%. The MINI Countryman and the MINI Coupé continued to remain amongst the best-selling MINI models in Saudi Arabia. Mohamed Yousuf Naghi Motors recently introduced the all-new MINI Hatch to the Saudi Arabian market. Offering more space as well as a host of new MINI technological innovations, the vehicle is certain to contribute to the growth of the brand for the rest of the year.
