Oman awards L&T OR97m road deal

Oman’s transport ministry has awarded Indian engineering and construction firm, Larsen & Toubro (L&T) an order worth Rs15.5bn (around OR97m) for the construction of a road between Bidbid-Sur section (second phase, first part), Muscat Daily has reported. The scope of its works involves widening of the existing 76km two-lane road into a three-lane dual carriageway, construction of ten arch-type interchanges, five vehicular underpasses, seven single-cell pedestrian underpasses, and 15km of linked and service roads along the stretch, L&T said.
