The Roads and Transport Authority has announced the working timings for delivering various services during the New Hijri Year’s holiday (1st Muharram 1437H corresponding to 15 October 2015), covering paid parking, vehicle testing and registration centers, but without impacting any changes on the timetables of public buses, metro, tram or marine transit modes during the holiday.

Ms. Moaza Al Marri, Director of Marketing and Corporate Communication, RTA Corporate Administrative Support Services Sector, said: “All parking areas in Dubai Emirate will be free of charge during the New Hijri Year’s holiday (1st of Muharram 1437H) except for the Fish Market parking lot and the multi-level parking terminals (applying 24-hour daily tariff), such that the fees system will be reactivated on Saturday 3rd of Muharram 1437H corresponding to 17 October 2015.”

“As for vehicle testing and registration centers, services will cease during the holiday except for the Al Qusais Quick Registration Center and the Dubai Mall Platinum Registration Center, which will both remain open during the holiday,” she added.
