Saudi Arabian Airlines (Saudia) has said 557,089 passengers have been carried through 3,380 scheduled and additional flights between African airports and the kingdom in the first quarter of the current year, Arab News has reported. The number of incoming and outgoing passengers increased by 9%, compared with the same period last year. The growth in passenger numbers was attributed to the delivery of more aircraft and, accordingly, expansion of seat capacity to African-bound flights to 356,064 seats, or an increase of 10%, compared with figures of the same period last year.
