Toyota has decided to stop making cars in Australia in less than four years, citing the strong Australian dollar, high cost of production, incoming free trade agreements and fragmented automotive markets, AFP has reported. The Japanese auto giant said production of vehicles and engines would finish at the end of 2017. The move follows an announcement by General in December to shut down its Holden offshoot by 2017, after more than six decades.
