Turkish Airlines is official carrier of Kuwait’s Abdullah Al Roudan Indoor Football Championship 2014

Turkish Airlines, the national carrier of Turkey and Europe’s best airline*, is serving once again as Official Carrier for the 35th edition of the Abdullah Al Roudan Indoor Football Championship 2014, being held during The Holy Month of Ramadan under the patronage of HH The Amir, Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah.

The championship, at the Martyr Fahad Al-Ahmad Hall in Daeya, attracts international footballing talent and players from leading teams across the region. As a highlight of Kuwait’s sporting calendar thousands of spectators attend was has become an integral part of the country’s Ramadan community activities.

Turkish Airlines will be flying several international footballing celebrities and talent into Kuwait City to attend The Abdullah Al Roudan Indoor Football Championship 2014. Availing of the global carriers extensive European connections, the players include Javier Zanetti from Barcelona, Gianluca Voulaz from Milan, Alessandro Nesta from Rome, and from Porto several players including Anderson Luis De Souza, Rego De Macedo Migue and Luis Ribeiro.

Over the peak summer season, September 2014, Turkish Airlines operates 42 weekly flights which equates to 6 daily from Kuwait City to Istanbul and beyond. The increasing flight frequencies are in response to growing demand from Kuwait.

In addition to supporting local initiatives, Turkish Airlines is affiliated with major sporting events and icons including Lionel Messi, the football legend that stars in the global airline’s ‘Widen Your World’ campaign. Inviting travellers to explore new horizons, the campaign highlights Turkish Airlines connections to every corner of the globe, with flights to 257 destinations across 107 countries.
