Wattayah Motors enthrals Muscat Festival visitors with unique Volkswagen experience

Volkswagen Oman, who is participating in Oman’s biggest annual cultural event, the Muscat Festival, is showcasing a truly unique Volkswagen-themed trailer together with two of its most popular and best selling models, to the tens of thousands of festival visitors. Located at Al Amerat Park until February 10 the Volkswagen trailer houses three simulators together with interactive touch screens and a comfortable lounge with a coffee machine for visitors to enjoy.

Naji Zeitouni, Marketing Manager for Volkswagen Oman said, “We wanted to provide our visitors with a truly unique and memorable experience at this year’s Muscat Festival. Through our distinctive display we are able to provide exactly this – a uniquely Volkswagen experience that is technologically advanced, fun and engaging; just like the vehicles they represent.”

The three simulators feature seats from the popular Touareg, Passat and GTI. These unique displays showcase the comfort and quality of the seats while providing visitors with a truly unique audio experience, augmented by simulated seat movement and specifically designed to not only match the style of the respective vehicle, but also exemplify its unique qualities and features. Also part of the display, are a couple of interactive touch screens that allow visitors to explore the features and highlights of various Volkswagen models.

To ensure that children did not feel left out, a fun-filled floor piano has been setup outside the trailer; flanked on either side by the German brand’s best selling family sedan, the Passat, and its trendsetting hot hatch, the Golf GTI. As a classic with cult status, the Golf GTI systematically combines sportiness and driving fun with the strengths of the Golf into a unique concept of compact and sporting hatch. Powered by a turbo-charged petrol, direct-injection engine (TSI) with 162 kW / 220 HP, the seventh-generation GTI accelerates to 100 km/h in 6.5 seconds, reaching a top speed of 244 km/h.

The Passat on the other hand, with a 2.5 litre, 170hp five-cylinder engine, six-speed automatic gearbox, and superior range of technical and design offerings, presents families with unrivalled German engineering and new levels of affordable luxury and innovation. Volkswagen Oman is always keen to support the biggest cultural events in Oman and the brand is delighted to offer Muscat Festival visitors the chance to see both these models prominently displayed at the Al Amerat Park.
