The Saudi Haj ministry has imposed fines on 51 companies offering services to domestic pilgrims for various violations including operating without valid licences during Haj last year, Arab News has reported. Companies which were operating without a licence were fined between SR30,000 and SR60,000, depending on the seriousness of the violation and the number of victims. The violations were either detected by the ministry’s inspectors or received as complaints from pilgrims, said the ministry.
