Al Murooj Rotana Dubai Hosts Iftar for SNF Students with Special Needs
Al Murooj Rotana Dubai commemorates the holy month of Ramadan by giving back to the community through hosting an Iftar for SNF students with special needs and their families last Sunday, 29th June 2014 at the hotel’s Al Yasat Ballroom. This noble activity is part of the five star hotel’s ongoing campaigns on corporate social responsibility initiatives.
The students, their families and teachers were warmly welcomed by the hotel’s management team into the beautifully decorated ballroom and were hosted with a lavish Iftar buffet showcasing traditional Arabic dishes as well as continental cuisine thoughtfully prepared by the property’s master chefs. The hotel’s heads of departments also spent time mingling with the students along with their families and ensured they had a treasured time as they enjoyed their Iftar at Al Murooj Rotana.
The SNF Development Center commenced operations in April 2007 as an extension of the SNF Group in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The aim of the centre is “primarily to provide an institution for young adults with special needs who are in need of occupational and vocational training and for members to join hands with the special needs fraternity in Dubai. Furthermore, they collectively aim for future inclusion of students into the common workplace and to be independent in a variety of daily activities. The Center is a dedicated facility for young adults with special needs who would like to enhance their lives by contributing to the community in their own special way. Qualified and certified staff members assist in escalating integration in mainstream society by imparting training specific to every individual’s potential and vocational needs.”
Commenting on this early Ramadan initiative, Hussein Hachem, Cluster General Manager of Al Bustan Rotana and Al Murooj Rotana remarked “The holy month is a special time of giving and there is no better way to do that than welcoming SNF for Iftar at Al Murooj Rotana on the first day of Ramadan. It was indeed our pleasure to host the students along with their families and teachers. It was heart-warming to spend time with individuals with special needs making our Ramadan in the hotel truly special.”
