Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Marketing strengthens management team with appointment of Marc Bennett, SVP: International Operations
Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) has announced the appointment of Marc Bennett as Senior Vice President, International Operations of the Dubai Corporation of Tourism and Commerce Marketing. Marc joins the senior management team of the Corporation, which is responsible for the branding, promotion and marketing of Dubai.
With over 18 years’ experience in the leisure and hospitality industry, in the newly created role Marc will oversee Tourism Sector Relations, Strategic Alliances and Overseas Offices, reporting into Issam AbdulRahim Kazim, Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing. Marc joins DTCM from Emirates, where he was responsible for overseeing all business units within the Destination and Leisure Division including Emirates Holidays – the airline’s tour operating arm; Arabian Adventures – the Middle East’s leading Destination Management Company (DMC); Congress Solutions International (CSI) – a full-fledged professional congress solutions provider; and Emirates Wolgan Valley Resort & Spa – the international award-winning, carbon-neutral resort located in Australia’s Blue Mountains. Prior to Emirates, Marc held senior roles with TUI Travel PLC and Thomas Cook Group.

The Corporation was established in December 2013 as an affiliate of the Dubai Government’s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing, the authority responsible for the planning, development, supervision and regulation of the tourism sector. At the time of its establishment, the Marketing, Communications, Industry Relations and Overseas Offices functions of DTCM formed the new Corporation. With Dubai’s Tourism Vision to attract 20 million visitors per year by 2020, the Corporation is dedicated to working with private and public sector tourism and commerce partners to promote Dubai’s position as a leading international business and leisure destination around the world.
