Making splash at Arabian Travel Market: Yas Waterworld to highlight its world-first leisure and MICE offering

Yas Waterworld Abu Dhabi is set to make a splash with the regional and international travel trade players at this year’s Arabian Travel Market (ATM), by bringing the interactive fun of the UAE’s first mega waterpark to the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre between 5 and 8 May. As part of the annual exhibition, Yas Waterworld will showcase its unique incentives offering that caters to both the individual leisure traveler and the MICE industry.

Now in its second year of operation, Yas Waterworld has anchored its position as the go-to destination for both the leisure and business sectors due to its world-first and award-winning rides portfolio, along with its unique attractions and experiences. Showcasing promotional videos, offering giveaways and highlighting summer offers for guests as part of its participation at ATM, Yas Waterworld will also spotlight its entire guest offering. This includes the park’s never-before-seen rides and tailor-made packages for MICE incentive trips, which have already made waves with both sectors.

Other than a ride down the Best New Water Ride 2013, Dawwama, dedicated incentives at Yas Waterworld include the Yas Flow League, which takes place on the world’s largest FlowBarrel 10 Double Sheet Wave Ride, Bubble’s Barrel that sees guests battle it out on the waves under the watchful eye of flowboarding world champion, Clayton Barker. Similarly, the park’s weekly Ladies Nights, complete with a dedicated female DJ are perfect for female business and leisure visitors. The recently introduced Pearl Diving Guest Experience is ideal for incentive day trips extending to families, as guests eight years and above are invited to dive for oysters at the bottom of an underwater tank. The park will also emphasize its theme of Emirati culture at ATM, highlighting its central story of the “Legend of the Lost Pearl”.

With the ATM welcoming visitors from the region as well as from across the world, Yas Waterworld is aiming to attract interest at the event from its key source markets in the GCC, Russia, India, China, UK, Australia, Europe and the US. As part of its interactive stand, the park’s characters will be available to meet ATM visitors and introduce them to the park’s rides, slides and attractions. Yas Waterworld will participate as part of the Yas Island stand at ATM (Hall #2 Stand UAE 2310).
