Qantas has launched a strategic partnership with dnata, Tourism Queensland and Tourism Victoria to promote travel to Australia this summer.

The campaign, entitled ‘Explore the Wonder Down Under’, offers special discounted rates on flights and selected hotel stays. In addition, the Qantas Walkabout Pass is being offered at half price, providing travelers with easy access to multiple destinations across Australia.

Qantas has the largest domestic airline network in Australia. With the Walkabout Pass travelers can book up to six domestic flights when booking their international flight to Australia.

Australia boasts many spectacular destinations to visit and unforgettable experiences to treasure. From glorious beaches, awe-inspiring cliffs, misty rainforests, stunning canyons, the colourful Gold Coast and Melbourne’s iconic laneways and shopping precincts, UAE and GCC residents are promised the holiday of a lifetime.

Qantas Regional General Manager Middle East, Africa, India & South Asia, Rohan Garnett said Qantas was thrilled to partner with dnata, Tourism Queensland and Tourism Victoria.

“This is the first collaboration of its kind in the GCC, bringing together the state tourist authorities with the countries national carrier. Australia has so much to offer as a destination and the campaign provides Middle Eastern travelers a great opportunity to discover it like never before,” Said Mr Garnett.

Qantas recommends customers take advantage of The Walkabout Pass when booking their flight. The Walkabout Pass allows travelers a chance to see more Australian cities by providing special rates on domestic flights as part of their international booking, opening up multiple destinations across the country.

Using The Walkabout Pass, wilderness lovers can meet a koala at the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary or hire bicycles to explore the Southbank or cruise the Brisbane River. Whilst beach goers can visit the stunning coastline and picturesque towns along Melbourne’s Great Ocean Road. Families can have fun in the snow and experience the thrill of a ski resort holiday in the Alpine regions of Victoria.

The campaign runs until the 31st of July with a travel period from 1st May to 31st October, 2014.
