Four Seasons Tourism LLC has announced the grand opening of two exciting new restaurants – Mamasan and Trattoria – at an event attended by select VIP guests. Both outlets are located in the Al Assalah Towers (Saud Bahwan Plaza) at Al Ghubra. While Mamasan offers a range of popular as well as signature dishes from across various Chinese provinces, Trattoria takes diners on a gastronomic tour of Italy with its fresh pastas, delicious seafood main course specials and pizzas. Together, the two restaurants promise to lure food-lovers in Muscat with some of the best-known foods from the Orient and Occident.

Most lovers of Chinese food are familiar with dim sums, the steamed and fried savoury dumplings packed with various types of fillings. For the most mouth-watering dim sums in town, look no further than Mamasan. There are about nine varieties of steamed and pan fried dim sums that include lobsters, scallops, shrimps, beef, chicken and vegetable filling. The restaurant’s expert chefs whip up a range of delicacies from the Cantonese, Schechwan, Beijing and Shanghai provinces, including succulent Beijing Roast Duck served with hand-made pancakes, besides other signature dishes. Mamasan also offers a daily business lunch buffet for diners who are pressed for time.

Trattoria, meanwhile, aims to be the most happening Italian restaurant in town. In addition to fresh pastas and pizzas, it offers select meat and seafood dishes whose recipes have been handed down for generations. The restaurant also has its own coffee shop whose aromatic coffee blends, cakes, home-made gelatos, pastries and freshly baked breads, croissants and sandwiches make it an oasis of taste and refreshment for foodaholics looking to grab a quick bite. It is open seven days a week for breakfast as well.

“Diners in Oman are no strangers to Chinese or Italian cuisine. However, our customers are very discerning and have an evolved palate, which means they have high expectations as well. Therefore, our aim was not just to offer great Chinese and Italian food, but to create a dining experience that is undeniably realistic and at the same time, introduces foodies to the best cuisines from both worlds,” said Lawrence D’sa, General Manager, Four Seasons Tourism LLC.

While diners visiting the two restaurants are sure to take back great memories, they can recreate the experience during gatherings or parties as well. Both Mamasan and Trattoria offer outdoor catering services.
